When Bre came to me to book some family photos in the fall, I was really excited. I have been wanting to change the way I do family photos for a while, and this was the perfect opportunity to test the waters.
I love the family photos I do, but I wanted to make them even more meaningful. I want to capture everything about who your family is at this specific moment in time, to record all the memories and relationships, and make the photos more of a lifestyle shoot, similar to what I do for Newborn shoots. The Walker family was game for it, and I couldn't wait.
We started the shoot in their beautiful home, and I just took candid photos while they all hung out as a family. It was neat to be a part of it and see how wonderfully they all interact with each other. Next, we went to an outdoor location to take more photos, including a few loosely posed family shots as well as more candid style. Bre's two girls became my new BFF's, they had so much to tell me about and wanted to just hang out! I loved them : )
