TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLE BIRTHDAY PARTY
If you’re planning a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle birthday party and looking for some inspiration and free printables, you’ve come to the right place!
The 90’s are back, and as a 1990 baby, I’m loving every minute of it.
Planning the Ninja Turtle Decorations
I’ve been trying to use more recyclable and less wasteful materials for birthday parties, and since I have a printer that can print many, many sheets, I design a lot of printable decorations, including a pizza pendant banner, a turtle shell banner, a sewer lid on the ceiling with a ladder coming down the wall into the Ninja Turtle’s hideout, and homemade Ninja Turtle party hats.
I have some free downloads for you at the bottom of the post, so you can print out your own copies to use if you’re planning a Ninja Turtle Party!

Making a Ninja Turtle Cake
When I saw this cake I was hit by nostalgia at the star-tip style of decorating, it reminded me of the cakes my Mom made for us when we were little, so I set about creating my own version of it with Michelangelo. I made 3 layers of home made Fun-fetti cake, stacked them together, crumb coated it in a thin layer of icing, then drew the face design on with a toothpick. Once I had that done, I used black icing to pipe out the outlines and then got to work with a simple star-tip on my icing bag to fill in the cake.
It took longer than I expected but it was very straightforward and pretty easy. I absolutely love how cute it turned out!

The Perfect Ninja Turtle Party Menu
Since the Ninja Turtles love pizza, it made planning the food incredibly easy! I picked up pizza right before the party started and added a tray of fruit and a tray of vegetables. We went with green, orange and red produce to create Ninja Turtle faces, using whipping cream and ranch in little white bowls to create the eyes, with a raisin dropped in for the pupils. I love the Ninja Turtle fruit and veggie platters, I think they’re hiliarious!
I used some Margarita mix and citrus soda to make some green coloured punch and voila! Easiest party menu ever.

Ninja Turtle Birthday Party Games
We had this many party games:
I made origami Ninja stars and the kids had to try and aim and throw them into a bucket, they kept coming back to try again and again, a definite hit!
We printed off sewer lids out of cardstock and played “Musical Sewer Lids,” played just like musical chairs.
I printed off some extra Ninja Turtle masks and taped them in hidden locations around the main floor to find. We played this one a few times through.
We played “Pin the belt buckle on Michelangelo,” nothing gets everyone giggling more than this one.
